Grafton Beach, an ideal location for your wedding ceremony

In the seven years that I have been living in Tobago, I have never visited the Grafton Beach facility, though I have driven past it many times. Well on Saturday I can say all of that changed, very unexpectedly. I wanted a relaxing beach without too much people and my husband suggested Grafton's Beach. I fell in love as soon as I got into the water, it was very soothing, there was not that many waves and the waves more or less started closer to the shore so we had very little wave interruptions.

Grafton is not one of the very popular or advertised beaches so there was not that many people on the beach, which makes it ideal for weddings. You can have your beautiful ceremony shots without worrying about passers by coming out in pictures, which is a plus.

The beach is also very scenic because of the large expanse of gorgeous sand. There are also little clusters of rocks which can provide another option for you pictures.

The best part of this wedding venue option is that its on the western side of the island therefore you can have a beautiful sunset backdrop for your photo session.

Facilities are also available as the beach is surrounded by two hotels one with a beach bar and four villa properties that you and your guests can stay at. These properties will be highlighted in weeks to come.

Themed Fridays - Butterfly Theme

Hi again

I thought I would bring you some inspiration for those of you dreaming of butterflies. The butterfly lover has so many different ways she can incorporate her other love (fiance should be # 1) with what will be undoubtedly one of the most important days in her life . There are so many gorgeous options, that I really would have been happy showing you all of them, but I guess I can touch on this theme at another time in the future. Here are some ideas that really stood out to me.

The Invitations 
There are two options for your invitations, you can keep it classy and maintain the traditional black and white (formal) invitation such as this one.

For the Modern bride, who wants to incorporate a splash of color this is a beautiful option

The Accessories 

A wedding is not complete without its wedding accessories, and they are ideal platforms where a couple can display their personal touch on their special day. Butterflies can be easily added into the attire of the Bridal Party, I don't know how the men will feel about that. But for the ladies adding butterfly charms to their bracelets, and hair clips can be used to add a dash of color. The flower girls will love to have butterfly pins on their baskets as well as their floral head piece. As an added touch this can also become keepsakes that they will be happy to use again.

The Cake 

The Cake is the centerpiece of your wedding. It is the element that everyone looks forward to. Therefore your butterfly theme must (this is no joke) be reflected in you cake design.

I do recommend that releases are done outdoors so that the butterflies can find their natural habitat.
